Sandwich?

30 Mar 2004 - Under General By Mandrake

Scene: O’Brien’s Sandwich Bar
This caucasian shop owner was standing behind the bar collecting money.
Guy: Hey look, do you think thats O’Brien? Could be leh, I mean he is caucasian and all..
Gal: No, this is a franchise. Anyone can be the owner.
Guy: Okay.. I don’t think so too, he doesn’t have an Irish accent. I think he is Australian.
Gal: Hmmm….

You should go to the sandwich bar across the road from O’brien’s

They have better value for money.

Evie: Sad to tell you, but there isn’t a real Mrs Fields…

Aneki: The shop is not called “Kit Wan Takeaway” right?

  5. aneki March 31, 2004 8:12 pm

haha, actually almost all asian take-outs are called “Asia Kim” in this area. I have no idea, why. Darn, I can’t get my mind off the fried tofu since I wrote that last night….

Fried Tofu are nice! Wait till you tried the foul smelling type.
Kim is more korean than chinese

Yes I figured Kim is more Korean, but not that the people here give a damn. You know, kind of like “it’s all the same anyways”. I personally find it more original than the old “Bamboo Garden” , another typical name for asia-food places
    here.

Yeah, I agree with you. Its clique I guess.. but then I have yet to come across a shop called Bamboo Garden.

By the way, what kind of German food do you enjoy the most?

  9. aneki April 1, 2004 1:21 pm

hmm as you maybe know, I only like meat that is alive. So my prefered German food : potato salad (can’t live without it). Plus, I found I can get nowhere around the world german-like bread, which sucks big time when abroad. Other than that, I have not much love for german food.

What do you like to eat then?

  11. aneki April 2, 2004 3:00 am

Grass, leaves, flowers… and occasionally italian food, chinese food or japanese food (makes me poor).
