switchfusion sucks
Alright, Switchfusion which has been hosting this domain was down for 24 hours without any reason. Calls to their support wasn’t pick up by their 24×7 staff. A support logged was then closed after the server was rebooted, which didn’t solve the problem we highlighted to them. Its as every problem to them can be solved with a “reboot” explanation.
Unsolvable problem to them is like this..
Admin 1: Damn, we don’t know why the CPU load is so high.. could it be the blogs in www.liquidblade.com?
Admin 2 (same person as Admin 1): You might be right.. Let me delete some of their blogging tools in some of the domain without telling them and send a request to Admin 3 to update our acceptable user policy to not include the blogging tool. *Delete tools and issue request*

Admin 3 (same person as Admin 1): Okay, I’ve added the new policy. I will email the owner, directing him to our clause we have just added. Hope he doesn’t know that its a new clause. I doubt they are smart enough to look for the cache copy of the yesterday copy in Google.
Anyway, we apologise to those who are having blogs with us and those with accounts with us. Its partly our fault that we got stuck with an unreliable hosting. As an offer of apology, we are another one month free hosting of your blog! Yes, thats true, its one month free, on top of the perpetual free hosting we provided for you.

I have been watching closely a recent dispute between Switchfusion and our associate in Singapore. Not only Switchfusion hotline is unmanned, they don’t seem to have 24×7 personnel too, server offline normally lasted overnight. Poor customer service. Overall 2/10.
There are other much better hosting companies in Singapore, it is just that Switchfusion is a black sheep.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Hence we switched asap to another provider to minimize downtime. You can try http://www.poznet.com which is quite good.

Totally agreed. They screwed me too. Doubt that there is any 24×7, and I had never been able to speak to a human being. Contact is always by email or auto-response.
How they screwed me?
1. they cut off my website, even after I paid the renewal one month ahead of dateline, and cashing my cheque 2 weeks before dateline. Took a long time for them to get my site online.
2. changed my passwords after suddenly moving the files to another system. Asked them to reset and they reset everything, including deleting all my web files.
I’m one of Switchfusion’s customers, getting royally screwed by my hosted sites’ downtime and lack of tech support. Hotline phone calls were answered by Singtel’s ‘line temporary not in use’ message.

Yes, My client also got royally screwed. Dont ever do business with switchfusion. They stole my client domain and wont gove/transfer it back, and they have outages that last the whole weekend.

is good. That is because their website is hosted at 1-Net. All their customer’s websites are hosted at their shitty IDC that breakdown frequently. Do a Google search on “Switchfusion” to read other candid testimonial.
recently transfer to switchfusion. really poor customer & tech.support reps. phone lines for sales, techsupp, or any other dep’t. doesn’t exist. server goes down without any notice, nor do they speak or understand english. they told us was a maintenance, turns out to be hardware failure on 2 of their husky shitty servers. someone should sue these irresponsible & false advertising liars!! their recent server updates was a disaster, accessing anything else in our cpanel, the perl modules & php scripts are broken. So damn frustrated they wouldn’t even take a look!! Does anyone knows Commission of Consumer Rights in Singapore?

I’m just dropping by, nice to see this place.
I’ve got problems with Switchfusion too, oh well, thank god i left early though some money went into the drain.
No doubt poznet is a good company, but i’m intimidated to see only annual payment options available.
I’m currently hosting with Universal Hosting (http://www.uhostsg.com) and they are the best hosting provider i’ve encountered thus far, after using 5 hosting provider’s service in the course of 3 years.
I have to admit they do not have the best customer service level, but have all the customer service efficiency, quality and professionalism. They don’t have 24 hours technical support for me, but they reply me in 24 hours, usually lesser, and i thought that’s good enough since i’m not hosting any mission critical websites with them.
Oh well, i’ve gained much knowledge from them, enjoyed friendly and personal customer service from them, so i thought i’ll give a small review here of a shameless advertising for them. They deserve my hands up anyway.
Hopefully owner here, or some of you guys here will be interested to try them out.

Switchfusion sucks alright. Everytime I have an outage (and that’s quite often) the only response I get is the automated reply “Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for writing to SwitchFusion HelpDesk email support. This is to acknowledge the receipt of your email.”
You will NOT hear from them regarding your problem.
Absolutely horrible service. AVOID SWITCHFUSION LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

I’m experiencing f*ck up services from Switchfusion as well. The most infuriating thing is the guy in charge is extremely bad-mannered.
They’re more like providing Web Hoaxing instead of Web Hosting.
They disappeared today…my site…their site…phone number no longer in use I hate these c##ts. Fked me too many times.
Crap mine too! And worst of it all my domain doesn’t expire till 2009 and it isn’t under my name I have no idea how to take my domain to another provider..

I am trying to get together people who have been cheated by SwitchFusion to band together to take some sort of concerted action against this unscrupulous company. If you are interested, please send me an email and some brief details of your case.
Personally, I have also been cheated by them and as an individual, the police considers this as a small contractual issue. However, as a group, with similar victims, the police would take these together as a cheating case.
