Person of the day

23 Jun 2004 - Under General, Person of the day By Mandrake

I want to start a new category about a randon person I see on the street that day. He/she doesn’t have to be someone I know, could be just a stranger on the bus/street. I would just look up once in a while from my book at the people boarding the bus.

I like to people watch sometimes. I like to watch people who are watching other people. If a gal walks pass, and I know that there are people watching her, I will give her a glance and then see the people watching her, see their expressions or the ways they are trying to hide it.

Anyway, for today’s person of the day, its a guy with bleached blond hair. The first thing you would notice about him is the way he walks. He walks even more feminine than a typical female, which makes you doubt his sexuality. He also tends to flick his hair and sweep it back a lot, even though he has short hair. I think he is the first man I’ve seen on the bus that sits with his legs crossed!

Lets see if there are any changes the next time.

One thing good about taking the same bus each day is that you tends to know the regular by sight.

Ahaha.. then there’s watching people who watch people, who watch other people.. Took a taxi yesterday morning and noticed the driver watching this gweipo crossing the street. Can almost imagine what his eyes were looking at!

I like to people watch too. Especially women. Especially when they are checking out other women. You can just see their thought bubbles - “Bitch! Bet she sticks her finger down her throat to stay that skinny.”

Heh… yeah, thats true. I think women are good to people-watch besides the obvious reasons.
You can think of such stuff as.”Oh my gosh, where did she get that dress?”
“How could she come out in that?” etc…
So where is your fav spot? I think the open field outside Raffles Place MRT is a good one during lunch time.

Caleb - My definition of “a few sandwiches short of a picnic” - a derogatory term used to describe someone who is not very smart. What’s your definition?
