Foot injury

16 Jul 2004 - Under General By Mandrake

Been a week and my foot is still painful when I walk. It was almost 90% recovered on thursday, then today it went for the worse again. The pain came back and can feel it whenever I put down my foot. Where is the crutch when I need one?

My tenent was rubbing my foot forcefully with a piece of ginger dipped in some concoction that smells. He cut the a piece of ginger, burnt it a bit with a burner and then dipped into the concoction and start to use the ginger to rub. Whenever the ginger touches the painful part, had to wince.

After like rubbing for 15 mins, I have to keep the foot away from any fan/aircon.

Strange thing Chinese medicine is…

I think you better consult one Western doc as well. Just in case…

It was a Chinese traditional practicioner who told my granny she’ll be alright. A year later, she passed away. Lung cancer, chemo whould had worked if that son of a bitch bastard did not instruct her not to consume meat of any sort, including fish. She was too weak for chemo. Lesson learn. No offence. Chinese medicine is a hoax unless scientificly proven otherwise.

sounds interesting (the medicine I mean). People back home shell out big bucks for some alternative treatments. It was done in a westernized way I guess but I once got Moxibustion (?) done and it worked.

eh..sorry. I thought the same word in english. They put some dried herbs on “energy centers” and burn them. I doesn’t hurt the skin tho. I think it can be used for all kinds of stuff. In my case they used it to convince L that he should face head down inside my stomach, so he won’t be born feet first. - it worked !

Ah, I think I know what you mean. In my case, they burn something very fast in a glass jar and put it at the “energy centers” to draw out the moisture.
They have “certifications” for the Chinese doc here, just so to prevent fakes and frauds.

Lol. as there are no chinese people back home, regular docs get certified in acupuncture and so on. Then, they are paid either way you choose..western or eastern medicine.
