Below the bridge linking Shenton way to Suntec City, there are some food places there. Its just a bit off from One Fullerton and the place is called D’Original Satay Club. Its actually right below of Fullerton Waterhouse. Having ordered some satays (who could resist?) and bee hoon, we sat down to enjoy the atmosphere. I think we were there too early (around 7.45pm) and there wasn’t much crowd yet. We were wondering how the business could survive with such bad business environment. However, by 8.30, most of the tables are filled, ahh.. so now we know. The satay was so so, SD said the beef was a bit tough, I think the mutton was okay and our friend Juicy said that the chicken satay was the best among the three kind of meat.
We proceed to Postbar to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I’ve always heard of the place since it opened but I never got the chance to patronise it. Rumours has it that its one of those places where there are more posers than anywhere else. Anyway, my friend had a corner near the champagne/wine counter reserverd for his party so there wasn’t any need to hassle for seats. I must say although the pricing of the drinks are a bit high than other places, the quality is there. They don’t water down the drinks, so its not that bad.
When the party got onto a full swing, it got bored, so I started to pose. Heh.. Anyway, I was on a break outside when I saw Ds. Ds is my “sista” from 10 years ago. I was involved in my JC’s Outdoor Activities club and the recruitment that year was quite bad so we only have 10 of us. But because we have so little, we had quite a little bit more bonding I guess.
Ds is tall for an asian woman. She is 1.8m tall the last time I checked. She was with her friends and they too are tall and good looking.. Eventually, I sat with her outside Postbar to have a coffee with another of her friend. Her friend was a bit put off by the guys who happened to be at their table inside coz it was supposed to be a ladies night out. So me and Ds sat outside to accompany and do some catch up.
Its then that I learn from her that ETan whom I had gone after in my earlier years was diagnosed with blood cancer. Although she is still alright, her medical bills is quite high. I had arranged with Ds to find out more about ETan. Luckily ETan is currently married to someone who she can really depends on.
ETan is this wonderful girl that don’t really have much of a bad character flaws. I think the only fault is that she is a bit timid and probably lack a bit of confidence. That was then, i am not sure about her now. She is those type that probably all mother-in-laws will like.
I wish her good health.

1.8 m when you last checked ? Lol, so how tall are you?
It’s always sad when you hear someone you know has some illness or other, isn’t it?
I’m surprised your Outdoor Activities Club was lacking members. Usually Singaporeans are quite “on” about outdoory activities.
Aneki: Thats not me. Thats my gal friend. 1.8m is quite tall for an asian girl.
FF: Yeah, it sucks in a big way, but thats life. Have to grab it by the balls. Well, my seniors in ODAC were not doing their jobs in recruiting hence the lack. But then its also good since there is quality.
i think people in ODAC are superhumans. I see them doing chin ups during recess lor! madness. Heard that postbar is quite a high end pub. True?
Those are probably the crazier ODACians. We sane one just set up our own abseiling on the school wall for fun.
hmm, PostBar high end? not sure how you would measure that.. But I don’t really see the Winebar kind of crowd there.
Yeah i’ve heard about the postbar poseur problem : ) oneday i should go check it out myself and pose pose a bit…
yeah I got that, pretty tall for a girl anywhere. I just wondered how tall you were for fun.
heh. I see. I am only at 1.68m
how to pose? i think of SPGs.
evie > very easy… just stand around and try to act cool la…hehehe..
La Idler, trick is how are you going to act cool. Its almost as hard as trying to act suspicious.
