Phew…

2. Send replies and emails to vendors *checked*
3. Fax back quotations for equipment *checked*
4. Do my actual work.

So I basically did all stuff that I wasn’t “supposed” to do today and got down to doing what I am paid to do. And then I got bored and came to blog.

Had lunch with Pummy and Yeggy, two of my closer friends from the JC era. Yeggy is a new mom and Pummy is a mom-to-be. During the whole lunch, the conversation mostly revolved around the babies and what to expect from the morning sickness. Not to forget the horror stories of nausea, puke and other stuff. I learnt from Yeggy that she forces the husband to get up with her to take care of the child at night. Must not let her be the only one to take care, else no good. Why, I dun know.

I learn that a mom can see from the ultrasound diagram which black/white patch is the baby even though its a little dot (barely 1cm) in the diagram. Its a mother thing I was told. Its like picking out Singapore from a very small map.

Yeggy also warn Pummy not to buy certain maternity clothings, must buy those that makes you look good.. not those that likes a curtain and has a little ribbon that serves no purpose at the back.

Please don’t start talking about babies and having kids or I will go to the sperm bank right know and buy …oh wait, I have hubby. I guess he can give me some lil fishies.

haha, I also have to work off some list before I get to doing my actual work. blogging, mailing….
I am glad i never had to puke. And yeah those ribbon-at-the-back things suck. Butt ugly !

WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON’T KNOW WHY?!
It’s called equality lor. Long gone are the times when it is only the woman’s duty to take care of a baby. :) Men do that now you know. So that’s why. And now you know. And you cannot pretend you don’t know.

as for me, i don’t get my husband to wake up to feed or change our baby as long as i can do it myself. furthermore, i breastfed my baby. ask him to wake up to hold my breast while the baby breastfeed??? look at the brightside, u’ll get slimmer faster due to lack of sleep!

Aneki: ooo.. you are the lucky ones who doens’t have to puke..

Mrs Wang: Pray hard for his visa to get approved then more baby making sessions!

FF: *put fingers in ear*.. hmmm… hmmm.. hmmm.. I am not listening.. heh

Miche: but FF says to wake him up too! Yeah, breast feeding makes you slim down faster too..

On a side note, I forgotten to add that the Pummy’s mother in law told her that if the first thing you sit on is the bed when you get married and walk into the bedroom, you will have a hard pregnancy. If the chair is the first thing you seat on, you have a good one. Old wife’s tale for you.

thanks for the old wife’s tale. i’ll let my sis know. btw, when i got married, there was no chair in the bedroom!

    i’m a good wife, i don’t bully my hubby. ;)

The latest fad is to go for those 3D ultrasound scans. With it, you can see how your cabbage patch kid looks like. Very interesting…

hmm.. what will they think of next? 3d model that you can actually hold?

  11. aMuse November 2, 2004 1:34 pm

Didnt the japs come up with this prog some years back that predicts what a kid looks like if you input that parents faces? Think some arcades actually have the machine that does this.

    oh no.
i feel quesy now that you guys are talking about babies.

  13. aneki November 3, 2004 4:27 am

ultrasounds are bad for the baby. plus the 3D thing….well..if i ever get a chance to do it again, I’d not go to such extremes, I also don’t wanna know wether boy or girl until birth.

  14. aneki November 3, 2004 4:29 am

oh yeah my point was the breastfeeding. “Holding the breast” haha, that’s so true ! so once I (or any mom) is awake breastfeeding at night anyways, why not change diapers all in one go. Then at least one person can get some sleep and takecare of the baby during the day.
