Jelly Girl is having a hard time deciding what phone she is trying to refuse to buy.
I on the other hand, purchased two phones in under 5 mins just like SD said. Actually, we spent about 20mins there, the rest of the time was taken up by the guy running to his office to get the phones and then going back again to flash the ROM so it display chinese text for me.
I bought two sets of the Nokia 1100. Its an export set, so the price is around $118, without contract. Nokia didn’t bring it into Singapore, I think coz the Singapore crowd would want to go for a higher end version, anything less and no one wants. But I on the other hand, wanted to buy one for my mom. You see, she just need the phone to call and receive call. No sms or anything, a simple phone is enough. I think this model is as low end as you can get. This probably the lowest 4 digit Nokia model you can go. The other set goes to a friend who just need to sms. No frills needed.
This phone has some niffy features, it has a Built-in flashlight, easier to find those car keys in the dark, thats if you don’t lose your phone first. Another thing is the battery, the talktime is 4hours 30mins, and the standby time is a whopping 400hours. Thats 16days worth of standby time. No more complains from mom saying she has to charge her current phone every day. Its light too at 87g.
Anyway, I am looking forward to buy the Sony Ericsson K700i for $298. This promo is for existing customer who has been with the network for more than 24 months and I am just 2 months short. My friend working at the network told me can go down to the shop and pester them for it. I told her I would go down, and if no avail, throw tantrum, stomp my foot and shit on the spot and throw it at the display.. hopefully I dun have to resort to the last part..
yea, that is a nice basic model that she could handle. I personally prefer samsung phones cuz they are sexy/

The last time I tried to terminate my M1 line, they had me on the phones for hours begging me not to terminate. Well, not exactly begging, but you get my drift. First they offered me cheap phones, I declined.. they offered me vouchers, I declined, they offered me cheaper phones and more vouchers. The trick is to play hard to get! You can definitely go down there and upgrade your plan. 19months and above can get cheap phones liao.
Set! I’m left with 3 weeks (before I can upgrade) and have been waiting to get the 6230.. will raise a stink tomorrow!

err.. went down today.. its now going for 198 for new line and upgrade (if you have more than 24 months).. they dun want to bloody give me the promotion even though I am like 1 month 16 days due for the upgrade.. bloody hell..
