Don’t smile, you need a dentist.

22 Dec 2004 - Under General By Mandrake

Cowboy went to face his teeth.

Turns out one of my colleagues also went for a root canal thingy.. I was told that its really really painful and hopefully, I dun get to experience this pain. I think its terrible when the dentist can pluck at your nerve in the tooth and ask you, “so is this painful”? I think what you need is a sadist dentish.

Anyway, its a trend in my company for everyone to go visit the dentist towards the year end. Unlike other companies that I know, our medical benefit covers sickness as well as dental. The last time I was working in a govt agency, the max you can claim is around $70 or so, which is hardly enough to cover just the bi-annual cleaning. My previous company gave around $100, which is just nice for a first visit at $120.

As my medical benefit is about $1000, we can all go do costly things like root canal ($700) or wisdom tooth extraction ($250 each). Although I dun know whether it covers teeth whitening like those celabs have.. Maybe I can get the dentist to write it off as some other dental thingy?

Anyway, if you haven’t visit your dentist, try to make an appointment. At least remove that smoke/coffee/tea stained teeth and plague. Major contribution to bad breathe I was told.

That’s a good deal! Mine is 500 medical and 200 dental. i’ve only used half of dental and 20% of medical. So wasted.
