Project Manager (PM) and Boss at Consultant’s desk
PM: So what do you propose?
Consultant: I suggest taking down the staging database and save it somewhere and load it up with the production data to see whats wrong.
PM: No, we can’t do that. It might affect the rest of the users.
Consultant: Okay. You have any ideas?
PM: Why don’t we backup the staging database. Then we backup the production database and then load it up onto the staging database so you can work out the bugs?
Consultant: Sure, thats alright.
Boss: *nods in approval*
Me: *Smiling to myself*.
I think the consultant gave up on the conversation since it came back to the same point, just a matter of who raise the solution.
