I’ve the power!
Who in your office weld the most power?
Is it your boss, the workers or the demure looking coffee/cleaning lady?
Being stationed at the client’s place, I am not entitled to the usual benefits like medical and stuff, but at least we have the use of the pantry. This client provides assorted tea (chinese, japanese, infusion), associated coffee and other drinks. We just have to make it ourselves and since I don’t have a personal cup, I used the common one reserved for guests.
These few days, I’ve getting the sign of the “evil eye”. I felt a presence lurking around the cubicle where I am at. Whenever I walked past the cleaning/tea lady, she would radiate this feeling of “You are scum, you do not belong here. This pantry is beyond the limit where you can go, much more use.” I think if given a choice, she would leave my used cup in the sink, rather than use her hands to wash it.

sounds very dilbert…
in same position as you now.
luckily the client’s tea-lady is not a biatche as pantry is locked! even to their own employees.
only she, has the key and all drink orders have to go to her.
talking about power.
wah, this one power.. I think they have a secret monthly newsletter or somthing.. or maybe even an association with annual AGM.
..that’s the reason why i don’t even bother drinking anything from the public lunchroom we have. I don’t even want to get started on the “hey you didn’t clean your cup/you took the last cup of coffee and didn’t make new one!!!” crap.
aneki: I guess its not as bad here. they clean your cup and you make your own coffee, but alas, i guess its not as good as those dripping coffee maker.
