Open your mouth and stick out your thumb
Office Boy says:
just found out this office building is going to implement biometric access.. ie. finger prints scanning upon entering
thats like 30 plus floors of people going to stick their finger into a hole.. ha
SD says:
hmm…try beating the system
Office Boy says:
like how? use Z’s fingerprint lifted from his glass ah?
SD says:
slice off Z’s fingertips..and create a glove heh
Office Boy says:
ha..
any other buildings in Singapore with this security measure?
Speaking of security, we found out that Z’s name is so unique that a search on Google turns out his resume, past achievements in his university and his wedding date, which he has not announce to us yet. These info were from insecure web applications that doesn’t need people to login to see their details. Be careful what you put online. Like a blogger who wanted to remove her name from her tagboard and another blogger who happened to link his resume from a very old post. All these are available if you know how to search.

Still using a key to access mine. Somemore have to squat down to unlock the damn thing.
well, that one also secure, right? I guess depends on how big the office is right?
my actual office has this intercom installed right next to the glass door by the previous tenant. Current contractor for door and us were laughing at how insane this arrangement is. I mean you can practically talk thru the door without the aid.
whole building? i wonder what’s the cost per device.
here some companies implement it for data centres only.
yeah, entire building. I think the material cost is only in the gantry device that allows you to go in and out of the building. other than that, it should be the same right? since the security technically is your thumb. no other personal device to speak of, except for the keypass that is being used now.
Heh … the office next to ours uses that. Still waiting for the system to go mad and lock everyone in or out
