MacroAdobe?

19 Apr 2005 - Under General, Tech Talk By Mandrake

Just heard that two graphic powerhouses for media, not limited to print or web, Macromedia and Adobe might be merging.

This in effect brings the web/print publishing community down to almost one big supplier. I wonder if the US government would allow the merger as this could be seen as a monopoly. As far as I know, most of the publishing media people use these products, except maybe some who happens to use the Open Sourced GIMP (which I think is troublesome to get to know how to use) or Corel.

Personally, I used at least 3 products each from these two companies, so it would be interesting to see where this goes.

well.. don’t think they will reduce, probably just put more stuff in for the same price. I think if you want to buy legit software, buy the suite if it suits you. Its cheaper than buying individual software. Also buy from a distributor, a bit cheaper too.
