I’m in the wrong line

27 Apr 2005 - Under General By Mandrake

I queued up for a plate of streetside hawker food over the weekend. Of the 15 mins I was there, including waiting time, this old man had served up 15 plates of the fried kuay teow noodles for RM2.70.

I was told he starts selling at 5pm and ends at 2am. Judging from the continous stream of customers, I guess he can make about RM1500 a DAY for profit.

I think I am in the wrong line, I tell ya.

    however.. imagine the life…

i would be comfortable once i stop worrying abt their finances..
but passing down the trade ?
    no way.
i dont want them to sweat it out like me…
i want them to enjoy wat i reap.
i am so goin to spoil my children.

One thing I am sure, the old kway teow man is not sexy. Ha!

    It’s a trade off.

Oh!!! you MUST wear the stained white singlet and develop a HUGE pot-belly so you can roll the bottom of the singlet up till it hangs over the bulge! Not self-respecting CKT man would be complete without it!

Ya but that means you have to work weekends as well as long days! Don’t forget all that food prep time! No aircon somemore!
