What does this date means to everyone? Is it the day someone left you? Is it the day you held her hand? Was it your first kiss?
I don’t remember what I did on that day.
But this was the date printed on the bottom of the Tiger beer can I am drinking from. That can of beer had been sitting in my fridge for the longest time. I had gone thru quite a number of bottles of wine and other beers but that can of beer is still there.
Today, while the rest of the people are at Happy drinking their night away, I decided to take it out and remove the eyesore once and for all. In its place, I put three cans of Tiger Classic from DFS.
“Pop”, goes the can when I opened it. The familiar sound of the golden bubble rose up the can and I poured it out into a glass. As usual, the first sip was always the nicest one, till about 2 secs later, when you realised that you are drinking Tiger beer and not Leffe, a Belgium beer I like.
Anyway, a few sip later, I realised the beer was a bit bland. Maybe its those $0.50 beer they always sell to the army boys? I look at the bottom of the can, 18 May 2004. Hmm, okay.. then looked at the side of the can.
“Best served within 6 months after brewed.” wah sian.. now almost 1 year, so should be twice the goodness right? how come so bland? How come like drinking cold golden water like that?
anyway, since its already opened, no point pouring it away.. lets see if something strange happens to me tomorrow from this 2004 vintage.
By the way, I did checked that the 3 cans of Tiger Classic DFS beers are still within 6 months of brewing, I think still got about 5 days left.

I’ve checked back in my blog and May 18th was my first day at work here and I already hated hated hated it. So not a good date
I was in China blogging away at some cheap lan shop.

ehh, looked thru my diary… realized that i bought my air ticket tat day from Lee’s travel to fly home the following day.
