Getting old
Went down to help a friend move her office back home this morning. For the first look, we thought that it would be an easy job as the amount of stuff to shift was relatively small. But after 15mins into the job, it was backbreaking. The office is in one of the older buildings along Shenton Way. The lift looks like it has come out from the 70s, with big black button and absolutely no sight of any technology at all. The closest one can get is probably the light bulb that indicate the level.
When we reached the final destination, we had to shift cupboards, boxes, tables, chairs up 3 stories. The house is a walk up apartment with no lift. And being unfit for the longest time, it nearly killed me. The 60 years old uncle who came to help was in much better shape than me. Seeing him singlehandly carry one table up 3 stories makes me ponder the advice of exercising. Damn, that is a strong man.
When everything was shifted up, my hands were shaking from the experience. I think I need to exercise more instead of gulping down beer every day of this week.
Anyway, in order to thank us, we went to this Italian eatery at Siglap Road called Le Forno. It serves pizzas and other dishes and there is a wood fire right in the restaurant.

We ordered the calamari rings.

Mushroom, parma ham and cheese pizza.

all of a sudden, i miss the fish & co’s calamari rings.
WOW!!! now u r tempting me with the calamari, which i will SOOOOO cook tomorrow.
talking abt dinner…this is the last last LAST time that i will ever have chinese buffet dinner in the UK. It’s not the normal typical buffet that u get in sg, but this is shitty chinese buffet where u may be the only chee-na person eating in it beside the service staffs.
food sucks… not quite sure what kind of meat that they r using *sending shivers down my spine now*.
I presume there are loads of MSG in the food too.
okie, i wil forsake buying more handbags and just spending more money on eating quality food lah.
Getting hungry early in the morning~
*sigh*
Calamari rings not deep fried one… Healthy sia! Love mushrooms too. Yummy!
gyaaaha why do I always look at food pics on your blogs when I’m at office and hungry???
You talking about Al Forno right? It’s along east coast road right? Only the Calzone is passable, the rest of the food there is kinda sucky in my opinion. Go try porto porto for REAL italian food man.
i browse at the wrong post at the wrong time! i’m so so lar the hungry now!
