Shake your mambo
Another impromptu blogger’s night out with a bigger than expected turn out. The whole idea was for us who haven’t gone down to Mambo for a long time to just sit there and laugh at people dancing in a funny manner. I think unless its Mambo night, no one in their right mind would dance literally to the song lyrics.
“too many broken heart” translate to an action of opening the arms and then forming a heart and then having the heart broke in two. Thats how literal it is.
The other highlight of the night was supposed to be a challenge between Sandralicious and me. The idea is to see who can down the potent drink called Graveyard. The loser had to dance the literal mambo dance on the center stage on the dance floor.
Anyway, I won by a sec or so and I must say that she is one of those good drinkers who can down a stout infested drink in less than 5 secs. Respect.
The other impromptu highlight of the night was two of these bloggers exchanged french kisses in the middle of the dance floor right in front of us. Guess which two, let your imagination run wild.

How coincidental! My friends and I were also at Zouk last night for an impromptu and larger than expected turnout just to see what Mambo was like these days and what kind of strange actions they’d be doing to the songs. Before Mambo though, we were having drinks and chatting about the various Singapore blogs we’d been reading. Ah well, Singapore is small after all.

Mandrake: No, I didn’t spot anyone but after three hours of free flow at Velvet, I’d have difficulty recognising my own brother, much less a blogger. Heh. Besides, the only person I’ve seen photos of would be Sandralicious and as I’m straight, I don’t usually look at females (no offence to you, Sandra, you’re really pretty).
daftbitch: I’m a very very very low profile blogger too… and plan to keep it that way! I miss the Mambo of old, when they’d play songs I really like, like… Uptown Girl and A Little Respect. I’m not that old but Mambo makes me feel very old.
