Strawberry and Mango
Early this evening, I went to my old office to help my client (the new tenent) with some stuff. After that, I pass by The Patissier, a local Patisserie who sells cakes in the tradition of the Frech bakers. I heard that the owner had learnt her skills in France and came back to open this shop. They have a new branch at Mohd Sultan.
I went there enquire about a certain Green Tea cake that they had the last time. My mom’s birthday is coming soon, so I was thinking of ordering two cakes, one green tea and the other dark chocolate. Both are not too sweet so its just nice for her. I had to order two so that there is enough to go around (big family gathering) and we can sample different tastes. I think it would come to around $70 for both cakes.
Anyway, since I was there, I ordered two pieces for her tonight as well.
I had the Strawberry Cream. It came in several layers, painstaking layered with cream and strawberry on a wheat biscuit. The crunch of the biscuit compliments the texture of the soft and velvety strawberry cream.
The other one was a mango pudding cake. You can taste the full flavour of the mango pudding on the cake. The entire thing melts in your mouth and just fill you with the taste of summer.
Each piece is $4.70. Its a bit more costly than normal cakes, but its worth it.

*sigh* remind me of the good old days when i indulge in these sinful cakes like… every other day~
stop it!!! dun tempt me!!!

its at Ann Siang Road. Take a bus to Maxwell Market and walk towards Ann Siang Road. Ask around there if you are not sure of the direction.
The nearest MRT is Tanjong Pagar MRT. Exit A and walk down Peck Seah Street. You should see URA building in front of you. walk up the slope to Ann Siang Road.
