Airport
Sometimes I hate the airport. Its can both be a place of reunion or a place of sadness, depending on what you are doing there.
When you are sending someone off, even for a short term, you know that once the person passes the custom checkpoint, you would have to wait for a while before seeing them again. Sometimes, just sometimes, you might not get to see them again.
This goes both ways too, you might be the one leaving a particular place, like a place of holiday that you’ve enjoyed or a place that you had spent quite a memorable time in, ultimately, you have to leave this place and go to another. It could also mean that you have finished escaping your real life and back to the mundane world after the holiday.
But then on the other hand, the airport is also a place of happiness, its the first place that you would be waiting to see that special someone. Nowadays, we don’t fling down our luggage and just fly towards that someone like we used to. We better no, else some eager security personnel would think we are flinging some bombs in the airport.
Its also the place where you come back to from a long trip away. You know once you see that familiar terminal looming up as the plane docks towards the aerobridge, you would be home soon.
The airport is sort of an imaginary border between your normal life and your memorable life.

i know how you feel. I hate airports and I’ve shed many tears at the airport you were just at. I hate goodbyes too.
when i fly into changi airport, the 1st thing that i always think about is chee chong fun that you can get at any coffeeshop
leaving changi airport always make me feel guilty, for i always know for a fact that my dad misses me loads…
and i hate goodbyes… so i always tell ppl not to come to the airport to send me off
agree with this, its happy moment when i meet someone special but it will be my very sad moment when i have to take him/her back to the airport and say goodbye
i like airport when i am going to somewhere else, i like airport just because of the things inside of it hehe…
you got watch the hong kong drama triumph in the skies or not…
btw, i had fei fei wanton mee again. when u and twit free?
I like airport drop of and pick up. Cause I always buy some airport food, which is hellish expensive but I like to get it anyways ..like sandwich and stuff. ^^
airports got some smell that makes me think of sthg i cant remmeber.. hahhaa
Airports are like little doors to me. Cuz I come to different worlds thru them.
I have acted like a raging lunatic in the Beijing airport (PEK). Crying and carrying on. Leaving hubby October 2003 was one of the hardest departure flights ever. I vowed to return, I did.
I wonder how he felt leaving PEK moving to the States.
Mmm.. Woodland’s Custom Departure Hall is one sad place for me.. Cause i had to send my ex boyfriend off when he left got good.
The only time where i shed tears for anyone in Changi Airport, was when i was like 7 or 8 years old and my father was going to New Zealand for 10 days. I was crying like a lunatic clinging on to my dad legs and telling him i will cry myself to death.
Happiness was when my family members are coming back from holidays and i know they are safe and sound and i have goodies which they will buy for me!! Hehehz =P
Sigh. The Airport. My second home.
this post reminds me of the movie, love actually.
