Seeing strips

Yesterday, while walking along Orchard Road with a friend towards Taka, I saw two cars parked by the side of the carpark near Somerset MRT. The drivers were taking down each other details, so I assumed that there was a minor accident. Usually, I would be looking at the cars and see whats happening, but my friend pointed me to the female driver who was writing something down for the other car (two old men). The female driver was in this baseball cap, singlet and this pair of super short strips short. My friend (another gal) and me were looking at her butt other than the accident.

Anyway, another food entry…
I just finished episode 1 of “Rick Steins French Odyssey”. Its about him taking a boat down the french coast and to the Mediterranean sea via rivers in France. Along the way, he would sample local dishes and show us how to cook them. Sort of like Floyd’s Adventure, except Rick Steins doesn’t drink as much as Floyd does.

Two of dishes were made using duck fat. One is pig intestines stir-fried in duck fat, seasoned with salt and pepper and some parsley. I know Asians have no problem with pig intestines, I love them, but to try it cooked like that, it must be really good. I wonder if there are any places here in Singapore who cooks with duck fat. I know they do sell it in some supermarket, like Carrefour.
