Stars!

4 Dec 2005 - Under General, Reminisce By Mandrake

I’ve always been facinated with astrology astronomy. When I was younger, I actually joined the school’s science club and was really into the astrology astronomy part of it. I saved up my allowance and bought myself a small telescope, those that looks like a priate telescope, I don’t think it does help much with viewing the stars in Singapore since the sky is damn bright at night.

When I went to Australia, the sky opened itself up to me. My campus and house was located all the way in the countryside and very far away from the city. If I take a ten mins walk into the field, the sky is as bright as it can be. I did managed to see my stars.

I came across this website that showcase the best of the Hubble telescope. It features some of the best shots of the heavenly body ever taken with that old workhorse of a camera. Check out the high resolution pictures here.

One of my greatest regret so far is that I fear we cannot get to travel between the stars in my lifetime.

Here are some pics which I find extremely nice.

This makes me feel small and insignificant. If you should ever be interested in *astrology* tho go to http://www.astro.com/ and check your (free) birth-horoscope.
