Are you lonely?
A friend captured this picture at the junction of a traffic crossing near Balestier Road.
It shows a girl in her nighties leaning forward asking whether you are lonely. If you are, then call her at her number.
Well, the ad was located at a prominent place, cars stopping will look. Those cars that are not stopping will actually slow down. The dangerous thing is that a lot of people actually used that traffic junctions so if the driver’s attention was taken away, accidents might happen. Oh well..
Now, if you are lonely, you know you can always call her.
Can we call you instead? hehe
You know, the other time Action for Aids had something similarly provocative to capture the attention of people and all you get when you call is a girl asking you to use protection the next time.
You would never find that kind of ad in Indonesia. You would even wonder if an advertisement for beauty soap which shows the model’s top body is really forbidden in this country. I think it doesn’t make sense but what can we do about it? Everybody say about democration but nothing is really free about anything…..no freedom of expressing arts. Nothing. But in this case it is different and I really agree with your opinion. That this ad could danger anyone crossing the street in which this ad is placed
I saw that advert just yesterday too! I was wondering if it was even allowed to be put up in the first place. I mean, you don’t even see adverts like that in the papers.
