Diamonds are forever or is it?
I read this article about diamonds and its supposed value.

Apparently, its all about marketing. If you can marketing or brand your goods good enough, you can treat anything as exclusive and make it a must have.
According to the article, De Beers controlled the amount of diamond commercially available to inflat the price. They also market it as a must have for couples and how its a way to show affection or how much a person loves you.
It works, doesn’t it? How many times did that significant others ask you to buy a ring that is 2x or 3x your salary?
If you sell your diamond, you won’t be able to get the same amount or close to it back. Technology has come to the extend where they can re-create a real diamond that is virtually similar to a natural diamond and De Beers is afraid. They got a Master Diamond Cutter to check, he couldn’t tell the difference.
I think I going to market this rock I picked up so that its super exclusive too.

yes. de beers should be afraid. it’s like synthetic rubber. the only difference is rubber, natural or synthetic, has many applications. Unlike diamonds, which besides for wearing are used as cutters.
honestly i wonder why are diamonds so hyped up?? i prefer a sapphire or a ruby… very auntie i noe… but i thought it really look nice…
I prefer those moonstones or cat’s eye stone. Those more interesting.
