Dirty Keyboard

24 May 2006 - Under General By Mandrake

How often do you clean your own keyboard? I try to clean them often, like today. Can’t remember when was the last time I did that, but hell, its dirty. The dirt and the stain. :P

Anyway, used a few wet towels to clean mine today by plying out the keys one by one. Then slowly wipe it clean and then put it back. Takes about 45mins to go thru the 108 keys.

Usually I just soak them for a few hours and then wash and dry them. I have this keyboard for more than 6 or 7 years already and its still in good condition.

I’ve seen some people’s keyboard that I won’t touch with a wooden pole. You can see how thick the dirt is on it. eekk…

I think one of the hardest to clean is the Apple white keyboard. The dirt just shows up more prominently.

I find keyboard condoms alright for laptops.

Somehow they don’t cut it for desktop keyboards. The closest solution I’ve found so far is a cleaning solution (can) spray which vaporises the dirt from under and atop the keys.

Ok. This all sounds like spam. My bad.
