Chinese shows

28 May 2006 - Under General, Tech Talk By Mandrake

Blurry Angel introduced me to this application that lets me watch various Chinese entertainment from off the net. At any one time, there are like at least 50 channels of Chinese programs running concurrently.

I am not sure how they stream it to cater to the demand but so far so good. Although the pictures are far from those that you see on the TV, its still alright. In fact better than some other shows. On a good connection, the result is quite good, but sometimes the audio and video would be 1 sec out of sync. I just have to pause it to let them sync up and its working fine again.

For the movie channel, the movies are a bit out dated but if you like watching some of classic Zhou Ren Fa, 周润发, Andy Lau or Stephen Chow movies, you get tons of them.

There are also various entertainment programs from Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries. Check it out if you have broadband.
