Chiang Mai Part 3
With regard to the previous post, here are the food that we were taught to prepare. I think they look good and in actual fact, there are good to eat too.
We were taught 6 dishes and you can choose the various course options or you can pick and match. See more here.

We were taught how to carve vegetables from tomatos and carrots. Above are 3 roses carved from the skin of tomatoes. We were also taught how to carve a tomato lotus and leaves from carrots.

Tom Yam Goong
The first dish is Tom Yam Goong, or the Tom Yam Soup. This is the clear based one and its really simple to cook.

Fried Fish With Chilli And Basil
Next on the list is the fried fish with chilli basil. Although we didn’t fried our fish, we did cooked the accompanying sauce with it. The chef told us that this sauce is very versatile. With some enhancement, we can even make this to accompany an Italian pasta dish. Its really nice.

Red Thai Curry
This is another amazing easy to cook dish. However, I think if you really want a good curry, you need to get good chili paste. The one provided was just nice.

Phad Thai
How can anyone not tried Phad Thai when they go to Thailand? This is what chili crab is to Singapore as Phad Thai is to Thailand. By the time we cooked this, most of us were already quite full from the earlier food.

Simple Papaya salad with sticky rice.
You eat the salad with sticky rice.
At the end of the course, each of us was presented with a cook book. That means we don’t have to take down whatever they say during the demo and just concentrate on the chef was saying. In the cook book, there are also other dishes that we didn’t cook. Its a good deal.
