Night Cramps
I hate night cramps.. They just come on suddenly and the pain strikes. Its like a boogey monster waiting under the bed and then take a stab at your leg.
I think I kicked away my blanket last night that when the weather turned cold, the muscle contracts or smoething.
Got woken up in pain, holding my leg and just trying to control my breathing. Its like those breathing exercises that pregent women went thru, control your breathe and try to relax, even though the pain is excruciating.
Luckily I had my shares of cramps when I was swimming. If it happened in the water, do not panic. Just try to relax your leg and let it hang in the water. Use your arms to push yourself to the side and ask for help. Usually I just get to the side, relax and try to straighten my legs. Eventually the pain will go away.
Night cramp sucks.

Heh, you might want to try using the other leg to help pushing the balls… of your foot up.
Cramps sucks.
i kena that before…shiok right? lol
i kena one which started with toes, big toe and 2nd toe started pointing up and down in different directions, then the calf, then the thigh, suddenly both legs cramp…leaving you panting for breath and cold perspiration till you manage to relax. Haaa
Think having a blanket helps. I used to sleep without one.
Cramps is a symptom of lack of sodium right? or maybe your circulation not good ler..
try wearing socks when sleeping. it helps. better still, were long pants. don’t sleep nekkid
are you pregnant??? i always got leg cramps when i am pregnant. kekekekeke.
you can say that again -.- I used to get cramps so bloody frequently at night after swimming training, it become something like a routine: like argh-wakeup-relaxmyleg-plopbacktosleep.
I used to wake up when my leg jerks. That’s damn irritating. Especially when you’re napping in class.
I’m waiting for a gal to come in and say something like “Night cramps is nothing compared with menstrual cramps”.
Hahahaha….
you could get your blanket, step on the blanket and pull it towards urself like a pulley..
it’s easier to stretch this way…
When you get the cramps, you should immediately get out of bed and stand on the cramped leg as straight as you can. It may hurt initially, but hey, it works!
magnesium, my friend, magnesium! Some argue it’s calcium, too so that’s why there are the magnesium/calcium preps available at drugstores. Like Miche said those show up during pregnancy a lot (lol, not for you!) but that really really helped me.
