No idea how to title this

24 Nov 2006 - Under General By Mandrake

I was waiting for a guy at City Hall MRT after arranging a shady deal to buy his used Xbox360 game when I saw two things that kind of irritates me.

1) Guy holding gal’s bag.
Yes, I am against that. Why can’t the girl hold her own bag? Too heavy? Then get a smaller bag and put less things inside. I am okay if I am asked to hold it for a while so that the girl can look at certain stuff without the bag, but to hold it all day wrong is a bit wrong. And the guy looks weird with the bag.

This particular guy met his girlfriend right after he came out from the MRT gantry. Immediately, he get hold of her bag without her asking. She was a bit hesitant at first but he insist on holding it for her. Idiot.

2) Gal threw tantrum in front of everyone.
I was standing near the gantry where people come in and out of the station when I saw this couple “talking”. I didn’t take notice of them but they seems to be arguing. The girl left in a fit of anger and the guy tried to catch up with her. She wanted to tap her MRT card to get to the train but the guy sort of followed her.

She snatched his paper bag away from him, threw it quite far away and went thru the gantry. The guy had no choice but went after the bag and followed her in after that.

Kind of sucks.

you make it sound like it’s the girl’s fault.

    Tantrum-throwing:

girl (g): alright. I don’t want to argue anymore. I want to go home.
boy (b): ok, I send you back.
g: no, I want to go back alone.
    b: it’s ok, I send you back.
g: go away! I want to go home alone!
    b: it’s ok, I send you back.

this actually happened to my best friend.

    boy holding girl’s bag

    b: I hold for you
    g: it’s ok
    b: I hold for you
g: no, it’s ok, I hold myself. It’s my own stuff.
b: I hold for you *grab*
g: *holding on to it* it’s ok. I hold it myself!

This actually happened to me. Do I look so weak that I cannot carry my own stuff? If it was way too heavy, like erm, furniture or what, I’ll ask for help. Of course, if the guy was the one with the heavy stuff, I’ll share the burden.

    argh, men.

not that I want to spark a gender debate… just that… equality la… women want better pay, carry your own door. Opening the door: it’s common courtesy.

RN - carry our own door?

I was at changi village the other day with my friend and we were disgusted by some man carrying the small little Harrod’s vinyl bag. So painful for us to watch him. I can’t phantom why any guy would want to carry a ladies’ bag. I just can’t garner up much respect for those “men”

I HATE MEN WHO VOLUNTEER TO CARRY MY HANDBAG… I told my hubby before i think men who carries their GF’s handbags are disgusting…

My hubby only carries my shopping bags and my hand bag when I carry my son… but its only for 5 mins and I will ask for it back… I cant stand all the kiddos who think that a guy carrying their bags are romantic.. I find it DISGUSTING
