My friend, Adi
I went to the airport to meet Adi yesterday.
She was on her way to US after returning from Jakarta visiting her family. I knew her since she joint the school activities about 12 years ago which I was in charged of.
Since then, we had been keeping in contact even though she didn’t joint my school to further her studies.
Its nice to see her again after 3 years of absence. She is one of those rare friends that you can don’t see often, but when you do, you can just hit it off again, just like she never left.
She is 30 this year, very classic looking, slim and pretty. However, she has problem getting someone to settle down with. Its not due to the lack of suitor, but her parents play a big part in the situation.
They would want to make sure that the guy in question comes from a good family, good enough for them anyway. Sigh, sometimes we cannot escape the clutches of our parents, even though its decisions that more or less affect us the most.

and i am breaking away…
I have spent most of my dating life looking for men who suit my parents requirements.
i think i’ve had enough.. it’s time to find someone who truly makes me happy.
After all, I’m the one dating him and not them!
