Wedding Charity
I went to a wedding last night that is a bit different from the rest. At the usual place where you can put your red packets for the couple, there is a sign that the proceed from the wedding will go to some of the local charities.
Well, this is the first time I encountered it so I was quite amused.
Half way thru the wedding, the bride’s father went up the stage to present the cheque to one of the representatives. It looks like one of those PR stunts with photographer’s flashes and people smiling and shaking hands. I wonder what the groom’s father was feeling.
Anyway, they raised around SGD16,845 from the wedding. The guy sitting at my table was wondering whether is an auditor onsite to verify the number.
