English Tea House
When I was in Sandakan, I have the feeling that I went back to the Singapore of yesteryears.. Something like in the 70s or 80s. Its a bit like what Singapore was like in those times.
Some of the buildings are old, abit run down, but you can feel more warmth there from the people there unlike the modern Singapore now.
I was quite surprised to see this English Tea House located on a hill top overlooking the town of Sandakan. My cousin and me decided to have some fun. We tried to order our afternoon English tea with some fake British accent, I tried doing the Indian-guy-with-the-British-accent. Needless to say, the waitress was not amused.

The English Tea House. I didn’t take pictures of the waitresses, but they came dressed up in something like those maid costumes, not unlike the french maid kind.

They actually have a crockett field there. Although I have no idea how to play.

Small little hut for you to sip your afternoon tea in the shade.
The food were quite alright. Maybe a bit pricey for the locals, but seems alright to me.

I have yet to tried a mango cheesecake before.

Club sandwiches, which were surprisingly good.

My scones and cream afternoon tea set. “How about a spot of tea, my darling?”
