Batteries not included

6 Aug 2007 - Under General By Mandrake

The first PDA that I have is a Compaq iPaq 3660. I bought it at close to $1k in 1999. You can imagine thats a lot of money then. I used it for more than 5 years before I retired it when I bought the O2 mini in 2005. The screen of the O2 is much smaller than the iPaq.

Last year, I also retired the O2 Mini from being a phone and just use it purely as a PDA. Nowadays I just it just to read my ebooks. I find that I want a bigger screen now that I have a phone and can split the usage.

I digged out the old PDA but it turns out the battery is dead. It doesn’t hold the charge anymore.

Googling around and I found some US sites that sell the same battery for SGD60, excluding postage.

On a whim, I went to PPCSG and search the forum. Turns out there is a Singapore distributor called Worcell that sells the battery that I wanted for only SGD39, including postage. And the best thing is that the postage is free and I can get it in two days.

Lets hope I dun screw up the installation as its self-service
