No Reservation

6 Sep 2007 - Under General By Mandrake

I have succumb to the tissue culture.

People who had lunch/dinner with me know that I hate people using tissue to reserve their seats. Only in Singapore is this possible. I am sure if you were to do this in Malaysia, they will just take the tissue and then sit down.

Personally, I hate it. I would rather sit and wait for someone to finish buying their food and change places with me than to use a tissue.

But today, I succumb to it. I used a packet of tissue to reserve seats for “people”.

Actually, I am just using the trick back on those people. I don’t want anyone to bother XT and me asking whether the table was taken, so I just put tissue around and just wait. Its their fault for them to assume that someone is actually reserving the seats.

95% of the people who saw it will not ask whether the seat is taken, even when I have started eating. It is good. The other 5% will actually ask whether they can take the chair.

well, you can say that I am selfish, but why not? I just don’t want people to bother XT and me during lunch.
