My mother doesn’t really know how to use the computer. Well, she does know the basic like clicking here and there, but if you ask her to do more detailed stuff, she would be stumped.
Recently I enabled the software firewall I was using after unplugging the hardware version. As it haven’t been started for a while, quite a few Yes/No prompted came up asking permission for the other software to access the Internet.
Today, I remotely accessed one of the software but alas, it was of no use. It doesn’t have any permission and there is a Yes/No popup that came up. If I don’t choose, my CPU would be functioning at 100% thereby causing a mini BBQ in my PC due to the heat.
I called my mom and walked her thru the entire process, visualizing what she would see and what she should do.
Luckily she managed to follow thru and all is well again.
