Grandmother Story Part 1
I wrote my grandfather stories a few weeks back, now its time for for my grandmother stories.
My grandmother is about 20 years younger than my grandfather. As far as I know, it was an arranged marriage. She travelled from Hainan island in China to Malaysia to get married to my grandfather.
She was 18 years old when she met my grandfather (who was around 30) at the time when they first met. To her, it a weird feeling of adventure and apprehension. Who is this man that I will marry? What is he like? Will he take care of me and my sister? My grandmother’s sister came along with her.
Well, after they first met, my grandfather brought them back to his rented house somewhere rather far. As far as I know they seems to get on well together as I don’t have the information now. My grandmother said that she was quite alright with him as his character seems to be rather encouraging.
