Malaysia election funny moment
The 12th Malaysia General election was over about 10 days ago. Barisan National (BN) took the majority of the votes and remain in control but with many less votes. Anyway, thats the past. Now we shall see whether the Opposition of DAP, PKR and PAS (DPP) can manage to win over more votes from BN elected officials in Sarawak and Sabah to form a new government.
I was just chatting with a colleague about it and she told me this story.
According to her, if you do help out in the days before the polling for BN, you do get a sum of money per day. You can help with slotting pamphlets into letterboxes or passing it out to people on the street.
What her friend did was to carry the BN flag and walk around asking people to vote.. At least thats what she was supposed to do. Instead, she carried the BN flag around, get paid for it, all the while telling people “Don’t vote for this flag.”
Its almost the same thing as the BN people paying voters to go back to their own state to vote. But these people take the BN’s money, then go back and vote for the opposition.
