Web Hosting Again

Over the last two months, there was a spike in traffic to some of Liquidblade’s blogs such as Cowboy Caleb. This was primary due to him blogging about Edison Chan’s pictures with various movie starlets and singers.

Due to this reason, we had experienced various downtime for a while due to bandwidth being used up. Even after purchasing more bandwidth, we still have reason to fear. Now, its not that the web hosting provider, Poznet gave us too little bandwidth, its because the spike caused a big usage, more than we usually use in a month.

After the initial few times we used up the bandwidth, we decided to look for other best web hosting that can give us even more.

I surfed around and evaluated a few hosting companies.

One of them was Host Gator. Reviews from other customers indicated that they are quite a reputable hosting company. Their response rate was also quite fast. Even though they are a wee bit more expensive but their reputation is quite good.

As such, we decided to switch over to them. The migration was very easy as we just had to tell them the ID and passwords of the various accounts we want to migrate, they did it within 24 hours.

That really took a whole load of effort off my back.
