Deep fried kang kong
Anyone knows whether I can find deep fried kang kong in Singapore?
I came across this dish in Chiang Mai two years ago. It was served deep fried and is very nice. Well, anything fried usually taste nice anyway. Yes, it might be a bit unhealthy but I always think that moderation is the key to everything. I don’t have to eat it daily, just once in a long time and two years is long enough.
Anyway, if you know where I can get this dish in Singapore, let me know.

Hi Mandrake,
I came by way of Xtralicious. I have the recipe link for this dish but I don’t know if it’s the same as what you’re looking for. This is the link: http://www.pinoyrecipe.net/crispy-kangkong-recipe-river-spinach/. I don’t know if your better half will be so keen on all that deep frying in the kitchen though, knowing how she likes things clean and grease free
The recipe works but I’ve only made it once out of curiosity.
On the other hand, I do know that Lotus Thai Restaurant in Murray Terrace, Murray Street has this on the menu. I’ve never been there, (I normally go to Lemongrass) and the feedback I get from friends who’s been there are mixed. Some find the place passable, while others hate it (you’d think they were being force-fed poison). However, if you are only looking to satisfy that one craving, perhaps it’s worth a shot?
