Overindulgence of durain
Last Sat, XT managed to get extra durains from the NTUC guys selling it. We bought back about 6 packs of those delicious fruits and being myself I indulged in too much of it.
So now, I am stuck with throat ulcers, not to mention the fever I had over the weekend. Too much durain is bad for you. Really.. its too heaty.. so today I drank a bottle of beer in the hope that it will sort of bring the body heatiness down to an acceptable level.
Speaking of durains, anyone noticed that the durains they sell in supermarket is actually more fragrance than those sell at the neighbourhood fruit stalls?
We walked pass one of those fruit stalls on Friday night and wanted to buy some durains. I commented that it actually don’t smell anything at all. In the end we didn’t buy it. Its only at NTUC that we smell the nicer ones.
If you want to buy durain, you should actually go down to the supermarket when they are closing. Because they cannot keep those opened durains, they will sell you at very dirt cheap prices.
Carrefour is selling buy 1 get 2 free during closing time. NTUC can also have the same deal if you manage to convince the person.
