Eye.fi

Remember this post about the eye.fi?

I got a eye.fi this April and managed to configure it to be usable in the office thru the wireless network. However, when I tried to do it at home, there was a problem connecting to their server to verify the account and thus I can’t get it setup to work on the home network.

This was due to the transparent proxy that Singapore’s ISPs used. The eye-fi card couldn’t get thru this proxy.

I have no doubt that it can some day as I had been giving feedback to them to get it work.

And it did.

Just now I logged into the Vista machine to check some stuff and the Eyefi manager asked me to do an update. Upon successful update, I pop in the eye-fi card to the computer to see whether there is any changes.

Lo and behold, I was able to register my router and the card is working fine.

I took a few test shots and it did uploaded alright. Happiness..
